How different the image when the prez met with the pope two months later. No bow, no kissing of the ring, just a handshake.
"Welcome, Mr. President," Benedict said in English. "Thank you. It is a great honor, thank you so much," replied President Obama. The two then sat at a simple wooden desk while photographers snapped their pictures. "You must be used to getting your picture taken," quipped Obama. "I'm still getting used to it."
He's also obviously used to considering himself the pope's equal and subservient to islam.
However, back at the White House, the scene was, again, much different, this time the 'one' bowing and gesturing prayerfully toward the hindu priest. This was during the 'celebration' of the hindu version of the 'Festival of Lights, 'diwali,' that occurred in October. But what else can we expect from a man who honors other 'gods' while asking that the Name of Jesus be covered up during his speech at Georgetown? Remember? Oh, how quickly we forget to add it all up.
