"And I saw seats; and they sat upon them; and judgment was given unto them; and the souls of them that were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God ... "
Apocalypse 20:4.
"How can they sit on the promised throne of judgment to judge the world, when their guilt is greater than the guilt of the world?"
St. Faustina's diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul, Notebook 6, 1702.
And so it is clear from the Lord Himself, that not only will the Apostles judge with Him, as He proclaimed in Luke 22:30, but so will many others as John the Beloved Disciple declares in the above Scripture from Apocalypse and Jesus confirms in St. Faustina's diary. Even the Apostle Paul ensures we understand this by stating in 1 Corinthians 6:2:
"Know you not that the saints shall judge this world?"
And who are the Saints? Are they not the Holy Ones who today stand fast in faith and in upholding the true Word of God? People who are persecuted not only physically but mentally and socially for their belief in Christ the King.
How interesting as this persecution spreads throughout the world today, not only in the media but especially in light of the biblical statement regarding those "that were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus."
Is there anywhere in the world where that prophetic description would fit today?
The answer for anyone who reads the news is beyond obvious. Yet, people still do not believe when prophecy unfolds before their very eyes.
And "they" who shall judge, as far as our Lord is concerned, is not confined to just men.
As the world lauds the "wisdom" of the now very dead Christopher Hitchens, one may ask for mercy upon his soul. But in reality, he may need mercy in judgment more from a woman he blasphemed when he lived on this planet. A Saint by the name of Mother Teresa.
Perhaps in the judgment of tomorrow, others should take note that while they live comfortably and publicly cause uproar with their childish and evil statements, people like Bill Maher may find themselves not just being Judged by the God he claims doesn't exist, but by a woman he knows does and is fighting for her right to believe in a hellhole of a jail in Pakistan.
In that future judgment, Asia Bibi may be asking God for more than just mercy on her islamic persecutors but also on idiots like Maher who squalor their freedom blaspheming the very God she has lost her freedom for. In the end, she will find herself free, and he will be ... ?
May God hear the cry of His Saints and rescue them now.
And may He silence His critics for ever.
