Agnus Dei Presents!
Prove Which
Was Crucified On?
It’s amazing.

We have come to such a point in time that no one wants to accept the obvious anymore.

Instead, we are given all sorts of contrary opinions and thoughts as to why it was impossible for Jesus to be Crucified on a Friday.

As we get closer to the Passion season, this question keeps rearing its head.

This week, we were privileged to do a presentation on the
Shroud of Turin for an
Una Voce chapter in California.

As those who rightfully love the Latin Mass, members who belong to
Una Voce are astutely aware of the heresy that has crept into the mainstream thinking of so many who — while they believe in Jesus — find every reason to debunk Sacred Tradition.  While protest-ants do not comprehend this, once we open the door to this heresy, the modern-day scholar is then able to come in and “debunk” the very Scriptures themselves.

Seeking to defend against those infected with the protest-ant heresies, the question arises whether or not we can prove the Sacred Tradition that Jesus was Crucified on Friday.

There are those — especially in the world of protest-ants — who claim it was impossible for Jesus to be Crucified on Friday because He was in the Tomb for three days.  They, therefore, want Jesus’ Crucifixion day to be on Wednesday so the Son of God can be in the Tomb for a full three days according to their reckoning — Thursday, Friday and Saturday — before His Resurrection on Sunday.

This is the height of stupidity — but
what else can we expect from those who do not follow Sacred Tradition nor the correct Bible?

These protest-ants pervert the Lord’s own Words to make their point when they quote Jesus as saying,
“An evil and adulterous generation seeketh a sign:  and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.  For as Jonas was in the whale’s belly three days and three nights:  so shall the Son of Man be in the heart of the Earth three days and three nights” Matthew 12:39-40.

How easily they neglect the last statement Jesus made in this prophecy:
“The men of Ninive shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it:  because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas.  And behold a greater than Jonas is here”
Matthew 12:41.

And so this generation that we now deal with has the nerve to change that which is Holy:  the Word of God.
The Saints who studied Scripture shall rise in judgment of this generation and condemn it because they do not do penance and preach that which is contrary to Sacred Tradition!

As we like to point out, those who read or follow the protest-ant versions of the Scriptures will find that they are in danger of missing the proverbial point.  For it is not the Holy Spirit who has inspired the translations of their versions, but men on committees.

Men — and women — who sway to and fro for the sake of internal politics; their own personal prejudices; the sake of genderless language; or the worst crime of all:  to be
“politically correct.”

By reinventing the Word of God to conform to modern speech or to translate it to a preconceived notion is
a sin that is rampant today among various versions of the Bible.  We again ask:  how many times must the Holy Spirit give us the Scriptures for us to acknowledge His Handiwork?  Is once not enough?

And how many who sit on Bible translation committees — whether Catholic or protest-ant — have the title of “Saint” in front of their names?

In this battle over the Word of God, as protest-ants “celebrate” the 400th anniversary of the commissioning of the “King James” version, the Lord is really looking for those of great faith — those who truly believe it was only necessary for the Holy Spirit to give us the Scriptures once and for one man under the authority of the pope (who was closer to the time of Christ than any so-called scholar today) to provide the translation.  That man is, of course, St. Jerome.

The translations of today no longer conform to the original Scriptures handed down to us from the time of the Apostles.

Instead, these modern translations cannot be categorized under the title of
Opus Dei — the Work of God; they are, in reality, “opus homo” — the work of man.

Here, from the New International Version of the Scriptures, is the key passage in regard to the Death of Christ and what day it occurred.

“Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath … ”
John 19:31.

According to our standard dictionary, the word
“preparation” indicates “preliminary measures that serve to make ready for something; i.e., a banquet.” In this case, even protest-ants would agree it was the day before Passover.  But, as they claim, there is no indication in their translation that the day coincided with Saturday, the standard Sabbath day, as opposed to a “special” day or as they state, any “sabbath” or “holy” “feast” day.

But in the Latin Vulgate translated by St. Jerome, the word
“preparation” is NOT used.  Instead, we find the passage reads with a key word missing from the modern editions.  The Douay-Rheims version of the Latin Vulgate records John 19:31 with these words:  “Then the Jews (because it was the parasceve), that the bodies might not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day (for that was a great sabbath day), besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.”

Note the odd word “PARASCEVE.”

What does it mean?

It is important to know that
this word was used only by the Greek-speaking Jews and for only one reason.

“Parasceve” was solely and exclusively used to discuss the day before Passover when the feast coincided with the normal Jewish Sabbath day of Saturday!

This leaves protest-ants who make the claim that it was Wednesday or Thursday when Jesus was Crucified at odds with the Word of God they claim to know so well when it comes to the particular passage in question.

By reading the correct version of the Scriptures, there is no doubt as to which day the Lord was Crucified on.  For as we all know, the normal Sabbath day in Israel was Saturday.  If the Lord was Crucified on the day before the Sabbath which coincided with Passover — the
“Parasceve” — there is then NO OTHER DAY anyone can lay claim as to which day this is other than Friday!

In fact, we can take this one step further.

Since it was part of the Mosaic Law that Israel was to celebrate the Passover on the 14th day of the month of Nissan, it is obvious that this is the actual date on the Hebrew calendar for the Saturday in question.

What other conclusion can one draw other than the fact that the day before Saturday — the Friday on which our Lord and Savior Redeemed mankind — was none other than the 13th of the month in the Hebrew calendar?!

In reality, our Lord Jesus was Crucified on Friday the 13th!

And what has the world — which is under the deception of no one other than the enemy of our God — taught us?  That Friday the 13th is a
“spooky” day; a day in which “evil” abounds, and people are in danger of being involved in “unlucky” events.

Friday the 13th is the best day in the history of the world for it is the day on which Jesus of Nazareth — the Son of God — shed His Precious Blood
for the sake of all who would turn to Him in love and worship!

We can continue to listen to
the nonsense of the protest-ants.

We can continue to allow other so-called “Catholic” web sites link to protest-ant “prophecy experts” in the name of “ecumenism” and
be fed false, even heretical, thoughts.

Or we can pick up a real Bible and study the true meaning of the Scriptures with the aid of those who have been devoted Catholic scholars and the Saints of history.

Those who were devoted not only to our Lord, but also to our Lady, the
of Prophets!

That is how we learned this information.

By studying the great scholar, Father James Meagher, who was made a doctor of divinity by Pope Leo XIII, we can gain more knowledge about the Truth of God, His symbolism and the Wisdom of His Word than by reading even one sentence from a protest-ant who ignores his Queen in offense to his God.

May our God, who was Crucified on Friday and rose from the dead at the stroke of midnight on Sunday bless all who seek His Wisdom — Wisdom found in the graces of
His Mother!

Ave Maria!
